Special Election Notice – November 4, 2025

A Special Election will be held in Uinta County on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Voters will decide whether to approve a 1% Specific Purpose Sales and Use Tax (SPOT) to fund several community projects, including a new Aquatic Center in Evanston, a secondary road in Bear River, park improvements in Mountain View, renovations and sewer expansion in Lyman, and the purchase of fire trucks and ambulances for Uinta County.


What You Need to Know

  • 📅 Election Day: Tuesday, November 4, 2025, polls open 7:00 am – 7:00 pm.
  • 🗳️ Early/Absentee Voting: October 7 – November 3, weekdays 8:00 am – 5:00 pm at the County Clerk’s Office (225 9th St, Evanston). Request an absentee ballot at 307-783-0306.
  • 💰 Ballot Question: Authorize a 1% Specific Purpose Sales and Use Tax (SPOT) for local projects.
  • 🔨 Projects Proposed:
    • $28.8M: New Aquatic Center (Evanston) + Gymnastics Center conversion.
    • $856K: Secondary access road, Upper Deer Mountain (Bear River).
    • $2.2M: Park upgrades, ADA restrooms, electrical & irrigation (Mountain View).
    • $5.4M: Heritage Park renovation & sewer expansion (Lyman).
    • $3.3M: Two fire trucks and two ambulances (Uinta County).
  • 📍 Polling Locations: Evanston (Machine Shop, Roundhouse), Bear River Town Hall, Lyman Town Hall, Mountain View Senior Center.
